A Message from our President...

Dear Spokane Community,

From poor policy decisions in Olympia and City Hall to global unrest, economic uncertainty, and the deepening crisis on our streets—there’s no shortage of turbulence. It’s easy to feel discouraged. But the truth is: our altitude depends on our attitude.

In aviation, a negative attitude for too long leads to a crash. The same is true in business and community life. If we fixate on what’s going wrong, we lose the lift we need to move forward. Instead, we must set our long-term flight plan, stay alert, and make steady adjustments to keep climbing.

The journey won’t be easy—but it’s ours to navigate. Engage your horizontal stabilizer: stay balanced, stay focused, and don’t let outside forces pull you off course. When headwinds come—like misguided policies or unchecked decisions from our elected leaders—respond. Show up. Speak out. Be present at City Council. Write. Call. Lead.

Spokane is our shared airspace. Our community. Our home. Let’s chart a future worth flying toward—and do it with clear eyes, strong resolve, and a steady hand on the controls. The mountain ahead is real. But with the right attitude, we don’t just survive it—we soar.

Your partner in business,

  Brad

ANNUAL DINNER - SOMETHING BIG IS COMING!

The Spokane Business Association’s Annual Dinner is just around the corner—and this year promises to be our most impactful yet. It’s more than a meal. It’s a moment. A gathering of the region’s business leaders, visionaries, and advocates coming together to celebrate progress, spark new ideas, and shape what’s next.

The details are coming soon. But for now—start getting excited. You won’t want to miss this.

YOUR VOICE. YOUR POWER. YOUR PLATFORM.

Downtown Spokane is at a crossroads. Business owners are confronting the impacts of addiction, homelessness, and public safety challenges every single day. These aren’t abstract policy debates—they’re lived realities. But change doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from stepping in.

The Spokane Business Association exists because a group of business leaders chose to stop accepting the status quo. We walk the streets before sunrise. We talk directly with policymakers. We advocate for solutions rooted in both accountability and compassion. This work is not easy, but it is necessary—and it’s powered by the people who refuse to give up on Spokane.

If you care about building a safer, stronger, more equitable city, then your voice belongs here. Not because we have all the answers, but because together, we’re asking the right questions—and demanding better. This is how change starts. Join us.
