Good morning SBA Members and Friends,
What a day yesterday! We ended the day with a full trailer of excellent men's and women's business attire, plus clothing gift cards, from dozens of donors across our community. Truly heartwarming. Every conversation at that trailer was full of the hope and shared commitment we're all experiencing as we watch Spokane rallying around those of us in need.
More to do! Today (Sunday) 9 AM–1 PM — one final push
Same spot: the trailer in the St. John's Cathedral parking lot on E 13th Avenue (just East of Grand... the lot across the street from 214 E 13th Ave). Here's why this morning counts so much: at 1 o'clock I haul the trailer to the school district's team, so everything that lands in it this morning gets delivered today — our displaced neighbors can come in, find what fits, and be ready when the work week begins Monday morning. A suit dropped off this morning is being worn to work tomorrow!
What to bring
Clean, ready-to-wear men's and women's business attire: suits, blazers, dress shirts and blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, dress shoes, belts, ties — and professional bags: briefcases, laptop bags, portfolios, work handbags and totes. Gift cards (Ross, Marshalls, Kohl's, JCPenney) are wonderful too.
Starting Monday
Drop-offs move to the Salvation Army at 222 E Indiana. One important detail: tell them your donation is for the fire victims.
